Small 8vo. (164mm x 110mm). Title page in Latin, but mostly printed in Greek. Early annotations to front flyleaf with previous owners names in ancient hand. Underlining and marginal notations to first 1/4 of book, in an early hand. large woodcut initials and tailpieces throughout. Repair to final leaf, and errata page supplied in facsimile. Bound in marbled boards with soft leather spine, with 4 raised bands, most likely19th century. Binding secure, nice square and tight. Well preserved copy of a 16th century London imprint. 

Provenance: A number of previous owner’s names on front flyleaf. Samuel Simpson noted a few times. One owner of interest "Jos. Bromehead", possibly the 18th century poet and hymnist, known for creating the popular version of the hymn "Jerusalem, My Happy Home".
